Family Plot

Two years ago I posted an entry about a family cemetery plot right outside Louisville, Ky. I used to spend a lot of time there, which isn’t as creepy as it sounds. It was (and is) a lovely place, surrounded by honeysuckle and shaded by old-growth trees. It was a good place to be alone, but I feel like I did become familiar with one of the inhabitants of the plot.

Thomas Maddox, born September 1834, deceased December 1892. I’ve searched online but I can’t find mention of his occupation or a listing of his his headstone anywhere. It’s probably somewhere in a courthouse or a library, but I don’t know how to get to it.

Thomas Maddox, who were you?
