The Moonville Train Tunnel in Ohio is eleven out of ten on the hauntability scale. Included are links to conservation groups, a little about my visit, and scans of newspaper articles about the tunnel while it was in operation.
I have written two posts on the Baxter Avenue Train Station. The first post I made, in 2009 was about a particular visit there, and the second post focuses more on its history and demolition, though it does veer more to memoir than other pieces on the station.
Part one of my series on the Abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike covers its history and precarious future as a recreational area. Parts two and three will be over the online history of the tunnel, and my time there.
